Description

The IC693MDL240 is a 120V AC discrete input module designed by GE Fanuc for the 90-30 series programmable logic controller (PLC) system. Fully compatible with 90-30 series PLCs, it can be installed in any I/O slot of 5-slot or 10-slot I/O backplanes. Measuring approximately 3.6cm x 13cm x 13.5cm and weighing 0.3kg, the module features a hinged door with circuit wiring information inside and a surface for recording circuit identification; a red code on its left edge marks it as a high-voltage module, and a plug-in component sits between its inner and outer surfaces.

Equipped with 16 discrete input points that share a single common power input terminal, the module uses reactive input circuits, each containing a resistor and a capacitor. When current flows through an input point, a logic 1 is registered in the input status table. It is compatible with a range of field input devices, including limit switches, push buttons, and electronic proximity switches. For status monitoring, the module has two horizontal rows of green LED indicators on top—8 LEDs per row—labeled A1-A8 (points 1-8) and B1-B8 (points 9-16) to display the on/off state of each input point. Note that the module requires AC power and cannot operate with DC power.
