TheYokogawa S2EN402-S0001 Bus Coupler Moduleis designed to enablefast, reliable, and redundant communicationwithin safety instrumented systems (SIS). It connects theSafety Control Unit (SCU)to N-IO nodes via theN-ESB bus, usingtwo RJ-45 portsto provide dual-redundant data paths. This redundancy enhancessystem availability and fault tolerance, which is critical inoil & gas, chemical processing, and power generationenvironments. The module supports100 Mbps transmissionoverUTP cables (Enhanced Category 5 or better), with a maximum distance of100 meters per link.
