Description

The Honeywell FC-SDIL-1608 is an industrial control safety manager system module designed for integration with the Safety Manager FSC/SIS system. Built on Quadruple Modular Redundancy (QMR) advanced diagnostic technology, the system features a fault-tolerant controller platform with quadruple redundant CPUs, which boosts system flexibility, enhances diagnostic capabilities, and improves fault tolerance for critical industrial applications. The module supports redundant or non-redundant configurations with FTE, enabling seamless connection to CEE and integration with the PlantCruise platform, where detailed real-time controller status and diagnostic data can be accessed from PlantCruise operator stations.

As part of the modular, microprocessor-based Safety Manager system, the FC-SDIL-1608 contributes to core safety functions including Emergency Shutdown (ESD), which automatically halts production processes upon hazard detection to protect personnel and equipment; Fire and Gas (FG) Detection, which triggers alerts for fires or gas leaks via connected sensors; Burner Management System (BMS), which regulates burner operation for safe and efficient combustion; centralized Alarm Management for organized tracking and response to alerts; and built-in fault diagnostics for rapid identification and resolution of system issues. It is engineered for high-reliability critical control applications, supporting process safety, asset protection, and uninterrupted plant operation.
