BENTLY NEVADA TK-3E Proximity System Test Kit, also known as a “frequency swing signal generator”, is a portable industrial calibrator designed for static and dynamic verification of eddy current probes. Key features include a compact, lightweight design for easy portability, and a universal mounting interface that accommodates eddy current probes with diameters from 5mm to 19mm, eliminating the need for multiple adapters. For static calibration, the kit uses an attached spindle micrometer to move the target surface toward or away from the probe tip in calibrated increments, allowing users to check sensor systems and calibrate displacement monitors, with the proximitor output recorded via a voltmeter. Dynamic calibration is performed using a special rotating “tilted disk” that simulates dynamic mechanical vibration. The kit can simulate shaft vibration and displacement to calibrate monitors and verify the operational status of monitor reading devices and eddy current sensor systems. Note that due to evolving sensor capabilities and stricter performance standards, this system cannot provide the precision required for sensor system calibration per API670 standards.
