Description

The Triconex 4119A Enhanced Intelligent Module, also called Enhanced Intelligent Communication Module (EICM), is a member of the Triconex product line, designed for industrial automation and process control systems, including safety instrumented systems (SIS) such as emergency shutdown (ESD), fire and gas (F&G), and burner management systems (BMS). Built with a Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) architecture, it delivers ultra-high reliability and fault tolerance, supporting 99.9998% availability and eliminating single points of failure. It features a complete, transparent triple-redundant structure, with integrated logic comparison diagnostics (including FPGAs) to maximize system fault self-diagnosis coverage.

Equipped with four serial ports and one parallel port, the module supports simultaneous operation of RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 communication protocols, with a maximum communication rate of 9600 bps. It uses HDLC and AISC technologies to boost controller processing speed, improve I/O response time, and enhance overall system responsiveness. The module typically operates on 24V DC, with optional support for other voltage ranges, and holds CE certification. It is suitable for high-hazard industries such as oil refining, petrochemicals, oil and gas, chemicals, power generation, and pharmaceuticals.
