Invensys TRICONEX 3664 Digital Output Module
Description
The Invensys TRICONEX 3664 Digital Output Module is a core component of the Triconex fault-tolerant safety instrumented system (SIS), designed for critical industrial process control and safety protection applications, such as those in oil, gas, and chemical sectors. It serves as a key interface between the control system and field devices like valves and relays, delivering reliable digital output signals.
Featuring 32 solid state relay (SSR) output channels, the module operates on 24V DC, with a maximum continuous output current of 2A per channel and an instantaneous peak current of 10A. It offers fast response times, with specifications ranging from less than 50ms to as low as 2ms, ensuring precise, real-time control. Built with a triple module redundancy (TMR) architecture, it maintains system operation even if one module fails, and includes built-in hardware fault detection and self-diagnostic functions for enhanced reliability.
Constructed from aluminum alloy with an IP67 protection rating, it withstands harsh industrial environments, operating and storing within a temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, and a humidity range of 10% to 95%. It supports Modbus TCP/IP communication, has programmable functionality, and consumes less than 10W of power. The module complies with IEC 61508 SIL 3 standards, and measures 100mm x 80mm x 35mm, with a weight of either approximately 500g or 2.5kg depending on configuration.
