Description

The Invensys TRICONEX 3008 Main Processor Module is the core central processing unit (CPU) component of the Triconex Safety Instrumented System (SIS), designed to deliver high-reliability safety control for critical industrial applications. Powered by a Motorola MPC860 32-bit microprocessor with a 50MHz clock speed, it offers robust processing capability with a dedicated 25MHz processing speed for core control tasks. Its memory configuration includes 16MB DRAM, 32KB SRAM, and 6MB Flash PROM, providing sufficient storage for safety logic programs, system diagnostics, and real-time data.

Equipped with a rich set of communication interfaces, the module supports TriBus, RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, and OPC, enabling seamless data exchange with other system modules, remote monitoring tools, and third-party devices. Built with a triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture, it ensures uninterrupted operation even if one channel fails, meeting the SIL 4 safety integrity level to comply with strict industrial safety standards.

Operating within a wide temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, the module runs on 24V DC input voltage, drawing 3A of current with a total power consumption of 72W.
