Description

The Invensys TRICONEX 3009 MP3009 Enhanced Main Processor (UMP) Module is a core component of the Triconex Safety Instrumented System (SIS), engineered to meet the high reliability, availability, and maintainability demands of industrial control applications. Certified to SIL-3 standards and compliant with IEC 61508 and ISA S84.01, it features a triple module redundancy (TMR) architecture with a 2-out-of-3 voting mechanism, ensuring uninterrupted operation even in the event of a single module failure to support maximum process continuity and safety.

Available with multiple processor configurations, it offers options including high-performance ARM Cortex-M4, PowerPC, or Intel Xeon E5-2690v3 dual-core processors running at 2.6 GHz. Memory and storage options range from 2GB to 8GB RAM with 8GB to 256GB storage, or 32GB DDR4 RAM with 240GB SSD. It supports flexible communication via interfaces such as Ethernet, RS-232/RS-485, Modbus TCP/IP, EtherCAT, or a configuration with 2 gigabit Ethernet ports, 2 RS-232 serial ports, and 1 USB port, and operates on the Triconex Trident vxWorks operating system.
