FBM202 Foxboro | Thermocouple/mV Input Module
Description
The FBM202 (P0926EQ) is a thermocouple/mV input module from the Foxboro I/A Series, designed for industrial process control systems. Its core function is to receive thermocouple or millivolt signals, convert them to digital signals for processing and transmission, making it ideal for temperature collection in thermal process monitoring, industrial automation, chemical, and power industry applications.
Key technical specifications include 8 isolated input channels, supporting multiple thermocouple types (K, J, T, E, B, R, S, N) and millivolt signals. It offers high accuracy: ±0.1% reading ±1 degree Celsius (depending on thermocouple type), with typical precision of ±0.03% full scale ±24 microvolts. The module features full isolation between channels, and between power supply and channels, plus built-in cold junction compensation (CJC) for reliable temperature measurement. Each channel has an update rate of 50 milliseconds.
Additional features include thermocouple burnout detection, digital signal transmission via Foundation Fieldbus, and compatibility with all Foundation Fieldbus devices and industrial components. It has an IP65 protection rating, with two operating temperature options: standard 0 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius, and an extended range of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius. Powered by 110V or 230V AC, it measures 4.2 x 4.5 x 6 inches, supporting scalable, stable temperature data acquisition for harsh industrial environments.
