Allen-Bradley 1756-IF8 Analog Input Module
Description
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IF8 Analog Input Module is a member of the ControlLogix programmable automation controller (PAC) series, designed for industrial analog signal acquisition. It features 8 independent input channels that enable simultaneous collection of 8 separate analog signals, supporting diverse industrial monitoring and control needs. The module is configurable to accept multiple signal types, including ±10VDC, 0-10VDC, 0-5VDC voltage signals, and 0-20mA current signals, making it compatible with a wide range of field devices such as transmitters, sensors, signal isolators, and panel meters. Equipped with high-resolution conversion capabilities ranging from 15-bit to 16-bit, it delivers precise signal digitization: for ±10VDC signals, it offers 320 microvolts per count (15-bit signed bipolar) or 160 microvolts per count (16-bit); for 0-10VDC signals, 80 microvolts per count (16-bit); and for 0-5VDC and 0-20mA signals, 0.32 microamps per count (16-bit). Additional key features include module filtering, under/over range detection, process alarms, open circuit detection, real-time sampling, digital filtering, and rate alarms, which enhance signal stability, fault monitoring, and overall system reliability. As a single-slot module, it integrates seamlessly into ControlLogix systems, suitable for applications requiring accurate, multi-channel analog data collection in industrial automation environments.
