Allen-Bradley 1769-OW8I CompactLogix Relay Output Module
Description
The Allen-Bradley 1769-OW8I CompactLogix Relay Output Module is a compact I/O module designed for industrial automation control systems. It features 8 normally open, individually isolated channels, allowing each channel to operate at different voltage categories for flexible system configuration. Key electrical specifications include a backplane current draw of 125 mA at 5.1V and 100 mA at 24V, with a maximum per-point current of 2.5 amps, total module maximum current of 16 amps, and maximum power dissipation of 2.83 watts. The module supports a wide operating voltage range of 5 to 265V AC / 5 to 125V DC, with a minimum on-state current of 10 mA and 0 mA maximum off-state leakage at 5V DC.
Engineered for rugged industrial environments, it operates in temperatures from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, with a non-operating range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, and tolerates relative humidity of 5% to 95% without condensation. Vibration resistance is 5G at 10 to 500 Hz for general operation, and 2G for relay operation; shock resistance varies by mounting type, with 20G operational and 30G non-operational for DIN rail mounting, and 30G operational for panel mounting. Equipped with LED status indicators and an open housing, it is compatible with 22 to 16 AWG stranded cable and 22 to 14 AWG solid cable, and works with 1769-PA2, 1769-PA4, 1769-PB2, and 1769-PB4 power supplies. It mounts via DIN rail or panel mount base, and is compatible with CompactLogix and MicroLogix 1500 controllers, supporting remote I/O chassis installation using 1769-ADN or 1769-AENTR communication modules.
