Description

The Allen-Bradley 1771-WS 1-channel Weigh Scale Module is a specialized I/O module designed for integration with select programmable logic controller (PLC) backplanes, specifically compatible with Allen-Bradley SLC 500 series controllers including the SLC 5/02, 5/03, 5/04, and 5/05 models. It supports a wide range of industrial weighing applications, such as batching/mixing, filling/dispensing, check weighing, force measurement, weight level monitoring, and weight rate monitoring. Key technical features include a 20-bit AD converter with 980,000 count display resolution, which enables accurate weight measurement and control even with large dead loads or oversized load cells. The module is equipped with 2 TTL-level outputs for controlling external relays, and it transmits weight data directly to the connected PLC via the backplane. Note that this module does not comply with RoHS structural standards. Its single-channel configuration is optimized for targeted weighing tasks that require precise, integrated PLC-based control.
