Description

The Allen-Bradley 1785-CHBM PLC-5 ControlNet Backup Cartridge is a hot backup memory module designed for ControlNet-enabled PLC-5 controllers. As a backup component installed directly on PLC-5 processors, it enables the host controller to operate in backup mode, supporting reliable redundant system operation. Key technical specifications include a 100K-word non-volatile user memory capacity, which retains data without continuous power supply. A configurable write-protect feature is available; users can enable write protection by removing a jumper on the module to prevent accidental data modification. It is fully compatible with 1785-L20C15, 1785-L40C15, and 1785-L80C5 PLC-5 processors, and meets CISPR 11: Group 1, Class A emission specifications when used with an appropriate enclosure.
