The Schneider BMEXBP1200 Ethernet Backplane is an industrial automation accessory designed for modular control system expansion, featuring a 12-slot design with power modules that do not occupy slot space. It supports dual bus architecture: Xbus and Ethernet, enabling flexible and high-performance system configurations. Key technical specifications include 12 expansion slots that accommodate a wide range of I/O modules, special application modules, and power modules, supporting both 8 bus X + Ethernet and 4 Bus X configurations for high-speed data transmission and communication.

This backplane supports standard and redundant power supplies to enhance system reliability, with a MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of 1,500,000 hours and a corrosion-resistant three-proof coating for long-term durability. It operates in temperatures ranging from -25 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius (rugged version) or 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, with an IP20 protection rating that meets IEC 60721-3-3 standards, providing resistance to dust, sand, and salt spray.

For connectivity, it supports the Ethernet/IP protocol, enabling remote backplane communication over Bus X and Ethernet, with features including IP parameter configuration, RSTP support, CCOTF (dynamic configuration changes), and 10ms timestamps for data logging. It draws 164 mA at 24V DC and 86 mA at 3.3V DC, with a total power consumption of 3.9 W at 24V DC and 283 mW at 3.3V DC, and can be mounted via 4 M6 screws for secure installation in industrial environments.
