Description

The ABB TY801K01 is a high-precision current measurement module released in 2022, part of the S800 I/O product line which includes Module Terminal Units (MTU), S800 I/O modules, and S800L I/O modules. Housed in an open-vent plastic enclosure, this module features mechanical keying and electronic identification to prevent incorrect insertion and mismatched module operation via the ModuleBus host. It supports hot swapping in fully operational I/O stations, allowing module replacement without shutting down the I/O station. The front panel is equipped with at least three LED indicators to display module status, including fault, operation, and warning states. Its current input can withstand transmitter power supply short circuits without damage and is compatible with HART communication, with nominal input ranges of 0(4)…+20 mA and 0(2)…+10 V.
