Description

ABB PFBI161 3BSE000467R1 is a dedicated Profibus Fieldbus Interface Module designed for industrial automation communication networks. It offers flexible transmission performance with communication rates ranging from 9.6kbit/s to 12Mbit/s, and supports automatic baud rate adaptation. For short-distance high-speed transmission scenarios such as workshop equipment interconnection, it can operate at 12Mbit/s; for long-distance networking like cross-plant communication, it can be reduced to 9.6kbit/s, with a maximum transmission distance of 1000m when using shielded cable at 9.6kbit/s. The module is equipped with 1 PROFIBUS DP standard interface (RS485 physical layer), using a Sub-D 9-pin male connector, and supports shielded twisted pair differential transmission for strong anti-interference capability. It also features short circuit protection, overvoltage protection, and can withstand ±15kV electrostatic discharge (ESD) to prevent damage from electromagnetic interference or wiring errors in industrial environments. Following the standardized design of the S7-300 series, it has compact dimensions of 40mm (width) × 125mm (height) × 120mm (depth), a net weight of approximately 0.35kg, and uses a flame-retardant ABS shell meeting UL 94 V-0 standards.
