Description

The ABB AI801 Analog Input Module is part of the ABB S800 I/O product family, which includes module terminal units (MTU), S800 I/O modules, and S800L I/O modules. It features an open-ventilated plastic housing, with at least three front-mounted light-emitting diodes to display operational status, including fault, run, and warning indicators. Designed for hot-swappable use, the module can be replaced during full I/O station operation without disrupting system function. Mechanical keying on the module and MTU prevents incorrect insertion into positions that could expose it to damaging voltage or current, while electronic identity coding ensures the module only operates if its ID matches the ModuleBus host configuration, supporting both single and redundant module applications.
