Description

The ABB FSM4000 Electromagnetic Flowmeter is a precision instrument designed for measuring flow rates of conductive liquids, slurries, pastes, and sludges, with a minimum conductivity requirement of 0.05 uS/cm (optional 20 uS/cm optimized). It is specialized for use in the pulp and paper, and food and beverage industries, and supports measurement of rapidly changing processes, two-phase liquids, continuous flow, and pulsating flow (for piston pump applications).

Equipped with digital signal processing (DSP) and zero stability technology, it delivers long-term stability and accuracy for flow measurement in both flow directions, with an accuracy of less than ±0.5% of rate for sizes larger than DN 2. Enhanced diagnostic features include coil, electrode circuit, and magnetic field monitoring to boost operational reliability.

Key technical specifications cover a size range of DN 1 to DN 40, a fluid temperature range of -40 to 130 degrees Celsius (optional up to 180 degrees Celsius), and compatibility with DIN, ASME B16.5, or JIS B2210-10K flanges via standard installation lengths.
