Description

The ABB REF620 is a dedicated feeder protection and control device designed for protection, control, measurement, and supervision of public and industrial power grids, including radial, looped, and meshed network configurations. It provides core feeder overcurrent and earth fault protection, suitable for ungrounded neutral networks as well as networks with resistance or impedance grounded neutrals. Equipped with advanced inter-station communication capabilities, it supports protection for both radial distribution networks and complex looped or meshed distribution networks. The device offers flexible configuration options: users can select between single-busbar and double-busbar setups, with each configuration available with one or two circuit breakers plus multiple switchgear configurations. It supports a large number of manual and motorized disconnectors and earthing switches, and its available I/O count can be expanded as needed using ABB’s RIO600 remote I/O device.
