Description

The ABB DSBC 174 Bus Extender S100 I/O Bus is a high-performance automation control module engineered for industrial automation systems, integrating advanced digital control technology and a stable hardware architecture. It is suitable for a wide range of industrial scenarios including process control, motion control, and equipment monitoring. This module has no internal battery and supports CPU redundancy, enabling higher system availability alongside redundant CEX-Bus, communication interfaces, and S800 I/O. Equipped with a PM891 component, it features two RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1, CN2) for connecting to control networks, plus an isolated RJ45 serial port (COM4) dedicated to configuration tools. A built-in Communication Extension Bus (CEX-Bus) allows expansion of onboard communication ports via communication interface units, and redundant communication interfaces can be deployed on the CEX-Bus for enhanced reliability; the BC810 CEX-Bus interconnection unit can be used to divide the CEX-Bus into separate segments to boost its availability.
