Description

The ABB DC551-CS31 Interface Module is a S500 series interface module designed for PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) automation systems, functioning as a CS31 slave device. It operates on an 8V DC power supply, and integrates seamlessly with the AC800M controller series, which includes five selectable CPU board models: PM851, PM856, PM860, PM861, PM864, and PM865. Each AC800M CPU board integrates a power supply unit, processor, and memory that stores operating firmware, control unit hardware configuration data, and application programs. The module features 16 configurable DI/DO (Digital Input/Digital Output) channels, rated for 24V DC with a 0.5A current capacity. It supports robust communication capabilities, including up to 12 field bus module expansions, 2 integrated Ethernet interfaces, 2 RS232C interfaces, and ModulBus electrical and fiber optic expansion interfaces. Redundancy settings are supported, with the two Ethernet ports configurable for redundancy via a built-in redundancy switching program to enhance system reliability. It can handle up to 16 tasks with a minimum task cycle of 1ms, and has an SOE (Sequence of Events) resolution of less than 1ms. For local I/O connections, it uses ModulBus (electrical/fiber optic) communication lines, with each controller capable of connecting up to 8 local I/O stations.
