Description

10004/H/F is a Honeywell communication module designed for industrial control (工控) applications, including use with Distributed Control Systems (DCS). It features specialized grounding configuration requirements to ensure reliable operation in industrial settings. When the factory electrical grounding grid’s earth distribution resistance is ≤4 ohms, it can be used as the common grounding electrode (grid) for the DCS system. If the factory electrical grounding grid has high or irregular resistance, an independent grounding system must be installed as the DCS common grounding electrode (grid). Key grounding specifications include: a common grounding electrode (grid) without intrinsic safety ground must have an earth distribution resistance less than 4 ohms; with intrinsic safety ground, the resistance must be less than 1 ohms, and the grounding main trunk line impedance must be less than 0.1 ohms. Additional installation requirements state that no lightning protection ground connection points should be within 15 meters of the grounding electrode, and no high or low voltage electrical equipment enclosures over 30KW should be within 8 meters. If these conditions cannot be met, the lightning protection ground must be connected to the common grounding electrode’s main line via an arrester/shock wave suppressor, and welding grounds must be at least 10 meters away from the common grounding electrode and its grid to avoid interference.
