1747-L524 | Allen-Bradley | SLC 5/02 Processor
Description
The 1747-L524 is an Allen-Bradley SLC 5/02 Processor belonging to the SLC 500 modular hardware system. It features a maximum user memory of 4K instructions, with EEPROM and battery-backed RAM to prevent data loss during power outages. No additional data storage can be installed, but an optional EEPROM module is supported to save and reload processor RAM content. For I/O capabilities, it supports up to 4096 discrete input and output points, a maximum of 480 local analog I/O points, and 4096 remote I/O points. It is compatible with analog, digital, scanner, and intelligent I/O modules, including DeviceNet, ControlNet, and universal remote I/O scanners, but is not compatible with 1746-BLM and 1746-MPM modules. Performance specifications include a typical program scan time of 4.8ms per kword, typical I/O scan time of 1.6ms, and bit execution time of 2.4 microseconds, ensuring fast real-time processing of programs and I/O signals. Equipped with an integrated DH-485 communication port, it enables data exchange with HMI, SCADA systems, third-party automation systems, and other Allen-Bradley controllers such as PLC 5, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix; a 1747-PIC is required to connect this port for programming.
