Description

The 1756SC-IF8H Allen-Bradley HART Analog I/O Module is a high-performance analog input module designed for the ControlLogix system, with full compatibility for HART 5, 6, and 7 protocols. It features 8 differential voltage or current input channels, each configurable for voltage or current operation, supporting multiple input ranges including ±10V, 0-10V, 0-5V, and 0-20mA. Equipped with 24-bit resolution, the module delivers precise analog signal conversion using a successive approximation input conversion method and R-Ladder DAC for output conversion, ensuring monotonic performance with no missing codes.

Each channel includes dedicated status and fault indicator lights to simplify troubleshooting and maintenance. The module requires a 36-point spring clamp RTB or removable terminal block housing, such as 1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H, and can be installed in local chassis or distributed I/O racks. When used with Studio 5000 Logix Designer, it offers three selectable data formats: analog only, analog and HART PV, and per-channel analog and HART. Ideal for industrial process applications, it connects to a wide range of field devices including transmitters, sensors, signal splitters, and panel meters, converting process value signals for use by Logix controllers.
