Description

The ABB CI541-DP Interface Module is a bus interface module designed for ABB programmable logic controllers (PLCs), supporting seamless communication and system integration across multiple ABB PLC product lines. Compatible with ABB’s AC500 series, including the flagship AC500 PLC (high performance, strong communication and I/O expansion for complex high-speed machinery), compact AC500-eCo PLC (flexible, cost-effective for small systems), safety-rated AC500-S PLC (SIL3, PL e, for factory or machinery safety applications), and rugged AC500-XC PLC (wide temperature tolerance, vibration and harmful gas resistance for high-altitude, high-humidity environments), this module enables reliable, real-time high-speed data exchange to meet control system demands. When installed in an AC450 rack, the module uses a left-to-right slot numbering system starting at 1, with sub-module slot positions designated as 1 (upper) and 2 (lower). Bus parameters typically use system defaults, though the BAUDRATE (baud rate) should be adjusted based on the total length of the DP cable segment and repeater configuration.
