ABB DA501 Digital/Analog I/O Module
Description
The ABB DA501 Digital/Analog I/O Module is a hybrid digital and analog input/output module designed for industrial automation systems. It features a versatile channel configuration with 4 analog input (AI) channels, 2 analog output (AO) channels, 16 digital input (DI) channels, and 8 DC channels, with no digital output (DO) channels included. The module supports a wide range of input signals, including 24 V DC, 0 to 10 V, -10 to +10 V, 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, PT100, PT1000, Ni100, and Ni1000, while its transistor-type outputs deliver signals such as 24 V DC at 0.5 A, -10 to +10 V, 0 to 20 mA, and 4 to 20 mA.
Key functional features include 8 configurable input/output channels and compatibility with AC500 CPU, CS31, or CI5xx communication interface modules, which enables the first two inputs to operate as high-speed counters with a maximum frequency of 50 kHz. The 4 independent analog input channels offer configurable settings for voltage, current, 12-bit plus sign bit, and 1-2 wire interfaces. Additional technical highlights include inter-module current isolation for enhanced signal integrity, and compatibility with DC505-FBP and all CI5xx modules, making it a flexible, high-performance standard I/O solution for diverse industrial control applications.
