Description

The ABB PM583-ETH Processor Module is a high-performance component designed for industrial automation applications, part of the AC500 series of programmable logic controller (PLC) modules. It features a 1024 kB memory capacity, with ultra-fast single-instruction short cycle times: 0.05 microseconds for bit operations, 0.06 microseconds for word operations, and 0.5 microseconds for floating-point operations, ensuring efficient data processing for complex automation tasks. Operating on 24V DC, the module is equipped with a memory card slot for expanded storage and data retention.

It offers versatile connectivity options, including 2 RS-232/485 interfaces that support programming, Modbus, and CS31 protocols; COM1 integrates a CS31 master station function to enable distributed I/O expansion.
