ABB PM802F Base Unit
Description
The ABB PM802F Base Unit is a core component of the ABB Advant OCS and AC800F industrial automation control systems, serving as a foundational platform that provides physical support, power connectivity, and communication interfaces for controller modules. It features a modular design for easy expansion and maintenance, supporting integration with multiple I/O modules and communication protocols. Equipped with a 32-bit ARM Cortex-A9 processor running at 1.2 GHz, it delivers fast response and accurate control, with 4 MB SDRAM (expandable to 8 MB or 16 MB) and 4 MB flash memory for data storage and program execution.
Key specifications include a metal alloy construction with excellent thermal conductivity and mechanical strength, DIN rail mounting for easy installation, and a power input range of AC80/220V ±10% or AC/DC85~265V. It supports diverse communication protocols including Ethernet, PROFIBUS, RS-485, Foundation Fieldbus HSE, and MODBUS, enabling seamless integration with other industrial devices. Operating in temperatures from -20 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius, it has an IP20 protection rating (for cabinet installation) and meets relevant industrial control safety standards.
This base unit excels in executing complex control logic, processing sensor data, and transmitting commands to actuators, making it suitable for a wide range of applications including process control, building automation, power plant DCS monitoring, manufacturing systems, and energy management across industries like oil and gas, metallurgy, chemical processing, and food production.
