ABB TP853 Baseplate Module Termination Unit (MTU)

Description

TheABB TP853is apassive baseplate/termination unit (TU)for theS800 I/O moduleswithin theSystem 800xA and AC 800M platforms. It isnot an active electronic module, but it provides thephysical mounting, field wiring interface, and electrical connectionsfor DI, DO, AI, and AO modules. Its design ensuresreliable signal routing, mechanical stability, and supports hot-swappable I/O modules, enabling maintenance or replacement without process interruptions. Therefore, the TP853 is acritical enabler for the physical and electrical integrity of the S800 I/O subsystem.
