Allen-Bradley 1747-L541 SLC 5/04 Processor
Description
Allen-Bradley 1747-L541 SLC 5/04 Processor (C Version) is a discontinued modular industrial control processor designed for medium-scale industrial automation applications, including process control, material handling, HVAC, chemical processing, energy management, and pharmaceutical production. It features 16K words of combined program and data user memory, with support for 1747-BA battery-backed RAM and 1747-M13 flash memory backup to preserve data during power loss. The processor delivers fast performance, with a bit instruction execution speed of approximately 0.44 microseconds per instruction and a program scan rate of 0.9 ms per K word. It offers robust I/O expansion capabilities, supporting up to 4096 digital input points, 4096 digital output points, and 480 analog I/O points, along with 3 separate 1746 chassis that can each hold up to 30 modules. Equipped with dual communication ports, Channel 0 is an RS-232 port compatible with DF1, ASCII, DH-485, and Modbus RTU protocols for programming, HMI connectivity, and device communication, while Channel 1 is an RS-485/422 port with native DH+ support at 230.4 kbps, enabling peer-to-peer communication with PLC-5, ControlLogix, and other devices over distances up to 3050 meters. It includes optional interrupt capabilities: 1 ms scheduled timed interrupt (STI) and 0.5 ms discrete input interrupt (DII). With an IP20 protection rating, channel-to-backplane isolation, operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, and humidity tolerance of 5% to 95% non-condensing, it is built for harsh industrial environments. The unit requires 5V DC 1A and 24V DC 200mA power, measures 145x35x142 mm, weighs 0.3 kg, and features a 1-slot mode switch key for run/remote/program operations.
