Allen-Bradley 1756-IG16 ControlLogix Digital Input Module
Description
Allen-Bradley 1756-IF16 ControlLogix Analog Input Module is a high-performance industrial control module designed for the ControlLogix platform, engineered to collect and convert analog current and voltage signals for industrial automation systems. It supports three flexible wiring configurations: single-ended, differential, and high-speed differential, which adjust channel count dynamically: 16 channels for single-ended wiring, 8 channels for differential wiring, and 4 channels for high-speed differential wiring. The module accepts a wide range of input signals, including ±10V, 0-10V, 0-5V, 0-20mA, and 4-20mA, with variable high resolution based on input range: 320 microvolts per count (15-bit + sign bipolar) for ±10.25V, 160 microvolts per count (16-bit) for 0-10.25V, 80 microvolts per count (16-bit) for 0-5.125V, and 0.32 microamps per count (16-bit) for 0-20.5mA. Its scan times range from 16-488 ms for single-ended, 8-244 ms for differential, and 5-122 ms for high-speed differential setups, ensuring fast data updates for real-time applications. Key features include a built-in Sigma-Delta analog-to-digital converter, 250V isolation between channels and bus, 25V isolation between channels, support for integer and IEEE 32-bit floating-point data formats, hot-swappable capability, and integrated diagnostic and display functions for simplified troubleshooting. It has a compact form factor with dimensions of 130mm height, 35mm width, 118mm depth, and draws 150mA at 5Vdc, 40/65mA at 24Vdc from the backplane, making it suitable for space-constrained control cabinets and noise-sensitive industrial environments.
