Description

The Allen-Bradley 1756-OB16E is a digital output module belonging to the ControlLogix series, designed for industrial automation control systems. It features 16 independently isolated output channels, each capable of 1A output current with a total module current limit of 5.1A, and a surge current rating of 2A per channel for 10 ms. The module supports a DC voltage range of 10-30V DC, compatible with 12/24V DC industrial standards, and can be configured via jumpers for either sourcing or sinking output modes. It also offers dual voltage input compatibility for 24V DC and 24V AC, enabling it to drive a wide range of actuators including relay coils, solenoids, indicator lights, and alarms.

Built for harsh industrial environments, it operates in temperatures from -40 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius, suitable for applications in petrochemical, mining, and food processing sectors. Key features include 500V AC channel-to-channel isolation for strong anti-interference performance, built-in short-circuit and overload protection, and compliance with IECEx, ATEX, and CCC safety certifications. With a metal dust-resistant housing weighing only 380g, it is a single-slot module compatible with all 1756 ControlLogix controllers and racks, supporting both local and distributed I/O setups. It also supports hot-swapping for improved maintenance efficiency, has a typical power consumption of 5.1W at 24V DC, and includes built-in self-diagnostic functions that work with RSLogix 5000 software for quick fault location. Under 72-hour full-load continuous operation, its temperature rise is controlled within 15 degrees Celsius for reliable long-term performance.
