BACHMANN BS202 Backplane
Description
The BACHMANN BS202 Backplane is a high-performance motion control module designed for precise, multi-axis industrial automation applications. Boasting robust electrical performance, it features a maximum drain-source voltage of 30V, continuous drain current of 0.52A, and low on-resistance of 0.63 ohms (@Vgs=-10V), with power consumption limited to 417mW. It delivers ultra-fast response speeds, with a turn-on delay of 2ns and turn-off delay of 45ns, making it suitable for high-frequency triggering scenarios.
In terms of motion control capabilities, the BS202 supports 2 independent motion axes, with an integrated encoder interface compatible with incremental and SSI protocols. It handles input frequencies up to 8MHz, and uses IO-Bus-Sync system synchronization technology to achieve millisecond-level multi-axis coordination. The module is equipped with 4 digital input channels for trigger/start functions and 2 channels of 14-bit analog output for closed-loop control.
Built for extreme environments, the BS202 offers a military-grade operating temperature range of -55 degrees Celsius to 150 degrees Celsius, and comes in a compact, vibration-resistant SOT-23 surface-mount package measuring 3×1.4x1mm. It also features high reliability with IP20 protection, vibration and shock resistance, and supports hot-swap module replacement with M1 platform slot compatibility for flexible expansion. Safety-certified to TÜV SIL3 standards, with optional TMR architecture and hardware voting for redundant operation, it supports mainstream fieldbuses including CANopen, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, and industrial Ethernet protocols for distributed control systems.
