Description

The Bachmann GIO212 Universal I/O Module is a versatile industrial input/output module designed for harsh and demanding industrial environments. It features a high-reliability design with a wide operating temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius, IP20 protection rating, and resistance to vibration and shock, making it suitable for extreme settings like offshore platforms and desert power stations. The module supports hot-swapping, allowing for live module replacement without system shutdown, and is compatible with all modules in the M1 platform slot series to enable flexible system expansion and minimize maintenance downtime.

Certified to TÜV SIL3 safety standards, select variants utilize a TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) architecture with hardware voting to ensure uninterrupted operation of critical control loops. It offers broad communication compatibility, supporting mainstream fieldbuses including CANopen, PROFIBUS, and DeviceNet, as well as industrial Ethernet protocols to meet distributed control system requirements.
