BENTLY NEVADA 133396-01 Overspeed Detection I/O Module
Description
The BENTLY NEVADA 133396-01 Overspeed Detection I/O Module is an integral component of the 3500/53 Electronic Overspeed Detection System, part of the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System. Designed for rotating machinery, its core function is to monitor overspeed conditions, convert incoming sensor signals to digital data for transmission to monitoring systems, and provide early warnings to prevent potential equipment failure. It also monitors temperature changes of critical components to support proactive maintenance.
This module accepts a single input signal from proximity probe sensors or magnetic pickups, with a voltage range of +10.0 V to -24.0 V; out-of-range signals are internally limited. Key technical specifications include a 24V DC input voltage, typical power consumption of 8.0 watts, and a transducer power supply of -24 Vdc with a maximum 40 mA output. It features an epoxy-sealed enclosure for environmental protection, and a recorder output of +4 to +20 mA that scales proportionally to the module’s full-range rpm.
Weighing 0.45 kg, it operates in temperatures from -30 degrees Celsius to +65 degrees Celsius. As part of a highly reliable, fast-acting redundant tachometer system, it meets API Standards 670 and 612 for overspeed protection. Modules can be coupled to form 2-out-of-2 or 2-out-of-3 voting systems, and require a 3500 rack with multiple power supplies for operation.
