BENTLY NEVADA 330171-00-10-10-02-05 3300 XL 8mm Proximity Probe
Description
The BENTLY NEVADA 330171-00-10-10-02-05 3300 XL 8mm Proximity Probe is an eddy current sensor from the 3300 XL series, designed for critical condition monitoring of rotating machinery. As a core component of the 3300 XL eddy current sensor system, it works with matching extension cables and proximitors to measure vibration, displacement, key phase, and rotational speed of assets like steam turbines, compressors, pumps, and fans.
Key structural features include a robust 8mm diameter probe body, with its coil encapsulated in thick injection-molded PPS plastic at the tip for enhanced mechanical durability, making it more resistant to damage than smaller 5mm probes. The system is factory-calibrated for AISI4140 steel, with optional custom calibration for alternative target materials. It offers electrical and physical interchangeability with non-XL 3300 5mm and 8mm components, using the same 4-hole mounting pattern and space requirements for seamless retrofitting.
For high-temperature environments, it can be paired with extended temperature range (ETR) extension cables, supporting probe lead and connector temperatures up to 260 degrees Celsius (500 degrees Fahrenheit) while remaining compatible with standard 3300 XL proximitors. Typical applications span power generation, oil and gas, chemical, and metallurgy industries, where it enables precise monitoring of shaft vibration, static displacement, and rotational speed to support predictive maintenance.
