The BENTLY NEVADA 330500-02-05 Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor is a general-purpose vibration monitoring device that uses piezoelectric crystal technology with an integrated integral circuit inside the accelerometer to convert vibration acceleration into a velocity signal output. Its solid-state design has no moving parts, eliminating mechanical wear and performance degradation over time. Key technical specifications include a frequency range of 4.5Hz to 5kHz (±3dB), with a secondary frequency range of 6.0Hz to 2.5kHz (±0.9dB), and a sensitivity of 3.94mV/mm/s (100mV/in/s) ±5%. The sensor supports flexible installation in vertical, horizontal, or any angular orientation, requiring no special calibration, which simplifies deployment. It is designed to measure absolute vibration (relative to free space) of bearing housings, machine enclosures, or structural components. Typical application scenarios include condition monitoring of rolling bearing equipment such as pumps and fans, as well as gear mesh frequency monitoring when paired with an accelerometer. Note that rotor imbalance or misalignment faults may not be fully reflected by housing vibration, so measurement effectiveness should be evaluated for specific use cases.
