Description
Bently Nevada 990-04-70-01-00 990 Vibration Transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device designed for industrial equipment condition monitoring, primarily for OEMs of centrifugal air compressors, small water pumps, motors, or fans. It converts vibration signals into proportional 4 to 20 mA output signals for equipment control systems, enabling mechanical protection, alarm, and logic control, and can connect to PLCs to provide peak trend data. Key technical specifications include: input compatibility with 1 non-contact 3300 NSv proximity probe and matching extension cables (with 5m and 7m system length options); power requirement of +12 to +35 Vdc at transmitter terminals; output accuracy of ±1.5% within the specified full range; full range of 0-4 mils pp (0-100 micro meters pp); required probe-to-target gap of 0.5 to 1.75 mm for full range operation; maximum loop resistance of 1,000 ohms including 35 Vdc cable; typical current limiting of 23 mA; non-interactive external zero and span adjustment. It features a fault response that drops output below 3.6 mA within 100 microseconds during abnormal conditions, with signal recovery 2-3 seconds after the condition is resolved, and a 2-3 second power-on inhibit period with output below 3.6 mA. Operating temperature range is -35 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius for the transmitter, and -35 degrees Celsius to +177 degrees Celsius for the probe; the unit weighs 0.43 kg and is CE certified. Suitable for use with fans, reciprocating compressors, generators, and blowers, it is widely applied in steel, power, metallurgy, chemical, and petrochemical industries.
