Description

The CI858 | ABB | Communication Interface Unit is a high-performance communication and control module designed exclusively for industrial automation applications. Equipped with a 32-bit RISC processor, 2MB memory, and 4MB storage space, it delivers robust data processing, logic control, and algorithm execution capabilities to support diverse automated tasks, including control of motors, pumps, valves, and other industrial equipment.

This unit supports a wide range of communication protocols, including Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, TCP/IP, UDP/IP, ICMP, ARP, and DriveBus, enabling seamless data exchange with diverse devices such as ABB drives, I/O equipment, and AC 800M controllers. It also functions as a Modbus TCP slave, supports 10/100/1000 Mbps adaptive Ethernet rates with full-duplex/half-duplex modes, and offers DHCP auto IP assignment or manual IP configuration. Additional communication features include support for Web, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, FTP, and Telnet servers for remote configuration, management, and diagnostics.
