TheABB REF610is part of ABB’sRelion® 610 seriesand is specifically designed forfeeder protection,motor protection, andvoltage supervisioninmedium-voltage distribution networks. Tailored for bothresistance-earthedandsolidly earthed networks, the REF610 offers essential protection functions includingovercurrent,earth fault,thermal overload, andphase discontinuitydetection. Additionally, it featuresmulti-shot autoreclosefunctionality foroverhead lines, which is essential for maintaining system stability by automatically re-energizing lines after a temporary fault. Optionalarc protectioncan be added to further enhance safety. The relay is also known for itsplug-in design, simplifyingcommissioningandmaintenance.
