CP451-50 | YOKOGAWA | Processor Module
Description
The CP451-50 is a core processor module designed for Yokogawa’s CENTUM CS and CENTUM VP Distributed Control Systems (DCS), serving as the central computing unit to execute control algorithms, process input/output signals, communicate with peripheral devices, and implement diverse control functions. It offers two processor configurations: a 32-bit RISC processor with a 10MHz clock speed, or a 64-bit quad-core processor with a 2.5GHz clock speed, paired with either 64KB RAM and 32KB EPROM, or 512MB RAM and 4GB Flash memory to handle complex control logic and real-time data. The module supports up to 256 input points and 256 output points, with expandable I/O capacity, and features multi-protocol communication interfaces including Modbus, ASCII, RTU, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet, and RS-485. It operates on 24V DC input with 5W power consumption, and has a working temperature range of -20 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, with dimensions of 150mm x 100mm x 80mm and a weight of approximately 0.7 kg, plus an IP20 or higher protection rating. Key features include a modular design for easy expansion and maintenance, industrial-grade construction with strong anti-interference performance and redundant configuration support for high reliability, compatibility with multiple programming languages (IL, LD, FC, ST) for flexible secondary development, and built-in safety protections such as overcurrent and overheat safeguards. It is ideal for high-reliability industrial control scenarios including process automation and critical system applications.
