DCP 10 | DCP10 ABB CPU Module
Description
DCP 10 ABB CPU Module is a central processing unit module designed for ABB’s standard rack control systems, responsible for signal collection, program execution, data processing, and signal output for industrial automation processes.
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| CPU | 80960CA 32RISC processor |
| RAM | 8MB internal and external battery backed |
| I/O Scan Cycle | Minimum 2ms for digital signals, minimum 10ms for analog signals |
| Current Consumption | 500mA |
| Power Consumption | 12W |
Key Features:
- Collects input module signals, processes data via programmed logic, and sends processed signals to output modules
- Supports data storage on-module or transmission to other process stations via DigiNet S Ethernet system bus
- Enables redundant process station configuration by connecting two DCP10 modules with a redundant cable, with hot standby functionality for automatic takeover if the main CPU fails
- Provides status indicators for power, fault, battery level, temperature, operation mode, and redundancy status
- Allows hot swapping of modules and includes front-panel controls for run/stop and CPU reset
Applications:
- Industrial process control systems requiring centralized signal processing
- Redundant control setups for high-reliability industrial operations
- Process monitoring, alarm management, and trend recording for operator stations
