DIO248 | Bachmann Digital Input/Output Module
Description
The DIO248 is a Bachmann Digital Input/Output Module designed for industrial automation control, with wide applications in wind power, chemical, and electronic manufacturing sectors. It supports digital control of devices including contactors, relays, pneumatic/hydraulic valves, and can read and respond to signals from digital sensors, detectors, or switches. Key features include 8 configurable interrupt inputs for real-time response to external events, and support for PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) operation mode for outputs, which enables energy-efficient operation of inductive loads. Outputs can be paralleled for synchronized control, with an adjustable hold time of 0 to 2 seconds.
The module offers flexible channel configurations: it is available with 16, 32, 48, 64, or 80 digital channels, and 16 channels can be reconfigured as either inputs or outputs. It also includes configurable 32-bit counters with multiple operating modes, such as event counter, incremental encoder, gate time measurement, cycle length measurement, and frequency measurement. A user-settable input filter is provided, and each channel status is indicated via LED. Technical specifications include a power supply range of 18 to 34 V DC with reverse polarity protection, ensuring stable operation in harsh industrial environments.
