Emerson | EPXPNS001 | PACSystems RSTi-EP PROFINET Scanner
Description
The Emerson EPXPNS001 PACSystems RSTi-EP PROFINET Scanner is a compact, high-performance industrial communication module designed for distributed automation systems. It supports PROFINET IO real-time communication at 100Mbps, eliminating long-distance signal attenuation and latency to ensure reliable data transmission. With robust expansion capabilities, a single station can support up to 64 IO modules, with a total input/output capacity of 1024 bytes, sufficient to cover all sensor signal collection needs for a single conveyor belt.
Featuring a compact form factor that is only 1/3 the size of traditional IO modules, this scanner can be installed locally in small control boxes along conveyor belts, reducing wiring by approximately 300 meters per belt to lower construction and fault risks. Built for industrial environments, it operates in a temperature range of -20 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius, has passed EMC electromagnetic compatibility certification to resist interference from motors and frequency converters, and is suitable for underground and winter outdoor applications. The CPU module has a thickness of 45mm, with IO modules using snap-in installation, allowing the entire system to fit into a 400mm x 300mm x 200mm standard control box for seamless integration into pre-reserved rack spaces. It uses industrial-grade components with an MTBF (mean time between failures) of over 100,000 hours, and supports hot-swapping of some IO modules to avoid system interruption during component replacement.
