FBM218 P0922VW | Foxboro | HART Communication Redundant Output
Description
The FBM218 P0922VW is a HART Communication Redundant Output Interface Module designed for industrial automation systems. It supports HART instruments compliant with HART specification versions 5, 6, or 7, and enables seamless bidirectional digital communication with field devices via dedicated FSK modems for each output channel, while also supporting HART universal commands required for integration with the Foxboro Evo™ system. Equipped with 8 isolated output channels, each channel delivers a 4 to 20mA analog output signal, or a digital HART frequency shift keying (FSK) signal superimposed on the analog signal. The module offers FBM-level redundancy to ensure continuous system stability and reliability, even if a single module experiences issues. All output channels are electrically isolated from each other, ground, and module logic, withstanding 600V AC voltage between isolated channels and ground for 1 minute without damage. It communicates with associated FCM or FCP units via a redundant 2Mbps HDLC field bus. Operating temperatures range from -20 to 70 degrees Celsius for the module, and -20 to 50 degrees Celsius for the PVC terminal components. With compact dimensions of 10.4cm x 4.5cm x 11.4cm and a weight of 0.284kg, it is ruggedly built for use in G3 (severe) environment enclosures, and features high electromagnetic interference resistance for consistent performance in complex industrial settings.
