Description

The Foxboro FBM205 (P/N: P0914XG) is a redundant 0 to 20 mA I/O interface module designed for distributed control systems (DCS). It features four redundant 0 to 20 mA dc analog input channels and four redundant 0 to 20 mA dc analog output channels, with each input/output channel electrically isolated from other channels. A paired set of redundant modules provides fieldbus module (FBM)-level redundancy, and field I/O can be wired to a universal terminal assembly. Each module independently maintains output positions and reports input values, while control software uses redundant analog input and output blocks to verify I/O signals. The module is electrically compatible with standard HART signals, and communicates with associated FCM or FCP units via a redundant 2 Mbps module fieldbus.
