Description

The FOXBORO FCP280 RH924YA Field Control Processor is a core module for industrial process control, part of the Foxboro DCS and FOXBORO Evo™ process automation systems. Powered by a dual-core PowerPC 440 high-performance processor, it efficiently executes regulatory, logic, timing, and sequential control algorithms, while supporting data collection, alarm detection and notification, and human-machine interaction functions. It features a modular design for flexible expansion and configuration, adapting to diverse application requirements, and supports up to 128 compact or standard 200 Series Field Bus Modules (FBMs), or a combination of 100 and 200 Series FBMs (with no more than 64 100 Series FBMs in mixed setups). Equipped with patented fault-tolerant redundant dual control modules, it ensures continuous operation even during module failures, and supports online image upgrades without process shutdowns. It offers rich connectivity options including Ethernet (100 Mbps fiber or copper cables), RS-232, RS-485, Modbus, and Profibus, enabling seamless integration with various industrial devices and networks.
