GE Fanuc 735-5-1-HI-485 Feeder Protection Relay
Description
The GE Fanuc 735-5-1-HI-485 Feeder Protection Relay is a dedicated digital relay designed for distribution feeder management, primary protection, and control. It provides primary protection and control for distribution feeders in solidly grounded, high-impedance grounded, or resonant (Peterson coil) grounded systems, and also offers backup protection for buses, transformers, and transmission lines, while reducing product lifecycle costs. Key core features include bus blocking/interlocking schemes, high-speed fault detection to mitigate arc flash, load shedding schemes for bus transfer applications, and voltage and frequency-based load shedding schemes. For overcurrent protection, it is equipped with two phase Time Overcurrent (TOC) elements, each with a level detector, plus two additional overcurrent elements for primary and backup protection use. Each TOC element features programmable attributes, including pick-up current levels for tripping, alarming, or control, and the option to select 15 curve shapes (including FlexCurves) and curve multipliers to match specific system protection requirements.
