Description

The GE FANUC IC660BBD020 16-Circuit Source/Sink I/O Block is a flexible industrial I/O module designed for distributed control systems. It features 16 discrete circuits, each configurable as input, three-state input, or output, enabling compatibility with 2-wire and 3-wire solid-state sensors, as well as electromechanical sensors. Key configurable functions include output pulse testing, selectable input filter time ranging from 10ms to 100ms, user-defined output power-on default values, and adjustable post-hold output states.

Equipped with robust diagnostic and protective features, the module offers electronic short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, overload detection with shutdown, no-load detection, switch fault detection, and three-state input open-circuit detection. Status is clearly indicated via unit OK LED, I/O enable LED, and individual per-circuit load-side indicator LEDs.

It supports the Genius protocol for data exchange via the Genius I/O bus terminal, enabling communication with PLC/PAC, bus controllers, PC interface modules, HMI, and third-party devices. The module allows remote installation up to 7500 feet from partner devices and supports daisy-chaining with other I/O modules to form a Genius I/O network.

Electrical specifications include an operating voltage of 18-30VDC with 10% ripple, typical DC power draw of 150mA (max 300mA), 10ms power drop time, and 1500V block-to-block isolation to resist electrical interference. When all 16 outputs operate at 2A, heat dissipation reaches 68.8W. It can be mounted upright or inverted, requiring installation in a clean, well-ventilated area with reliable short-wire grounding.
