GE Fanuc IC694CHS392 PACSystem RX3i Serial Expansion Backplane
Description
The GE Fanuc IC694CHS392 is a serial expansion backplane designed for the PACSystem RX3i Programmable Automation Controller (PLC) platform, serving as a foundational component for expanding PLC system capabilities. It features 10 slots for installing a variety of modules, including analog, discrete, and special function modules, to customize and extend system functionality. When connected to a universal backplane via an expansion cable with terminating resistors, the combined setup can accommodate up to 19 modules total. This backplane can be placed up to 50 feet (15 meters) away from the universal backplane, enabling flexible system layout in industrial environments.
Installation options include mounting on the front of a 19-inch rack with a front-mount adapter bracket or inside a 19-inch cabinet with an embedded mounting adapter bracket. The leftmost slot is dedicated to a serial expansion power supply, which can be either a standard or high-capacity unit. Key technical specifications include a 24V operating voltage, 50-60kHz output frequency, and CCC certification. Notably, this backplane does not support hot-swapping, and it is equipped with a DIP switch for selecting rack number, which must be properly configured before installing any modules. It is fully compatible with PACSystem RX3i standard I/O modules, making it suitable for building complex industrial automation control systems.
